Welcome to Bhutan! Upon arrival at Paro International Airport, our tour representative will greet you and escort you on a scenic road trip to Thimphu, the capital city of Bhutan. The 55 km route passes through Chuzom, a cultural confluence where the Paro River and Thimphu River meet.
Upon arrival in Thimphu, you'll check into your hotel for a brief rest. Afterwards, begin your sightseeing tour of Thimphu, a city bustling with commerce, religious significance, and governmental affairs. Notably, Thimphu is renowned as the world's only capital without traffic lights.
Your first stop will be Tashichho Dzong (Fortress of the Glorious Religion), originally built in the 17th century by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal and reconstructed in the 20th century without a single nail. This fortress serves as the seat of the Chief Abbot and the Monarch’s throne room.
Next, enjoy a walking exploration through the vibrant market regions and main street of Thimphu before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 2: Thimphu Sightseeing
After breakfast, embark on a road journey to Kuensel Phodrang, popularly known as Buddha Point, which hosts Bhutan’s largest Buddha statue and offers panoramic views of the surrounding valleys. Continue to King’s Memorial Chorten, a revered religious site where locals and pilgrims circumambulate while murmuring chants and spinning prayer wheels.
Visit the Textile Museum, showcasing Bhutanese traditional dresses, weaving techniques, and textiles. Conclude your Thimphu exploration with a visit to the Folk Heritage Museum, featuring exhibits on rural life and folk heritage, including educational demonstrations.
After lunch, check out from your hotel and drive to Paro, a journey of approximately 90 minutes. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and embark on a sightseeing tour to Ta Dzong, an ancient watchtower converted into the National Museum. Follow this with a guided walk to Rinpung Dzong, known for its stunning architecture and historical significance.
Return to your Paro hotel for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Paro - Excursion to Tiger’s Nest Monastery

In the evening, take a scenic drive to Drukgyel Dzong, a 17th-century fortress now in ruins, surrounded by traditional Bhutanese farmhouses. En route back to Paro, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, a 7th-century temple built by Tibetan King Songtsen Gampo.
